You already know the problem
Welcome to Q2, 2026
Can you believe it? Here we are.
Before I jumped into the next 90 days, I did something I always tell my clients to do — I stopped. I looked back at Q1 and actually acknowledged what got done. And honestly? That pause felt good. Celebrate the wins before the "what's still left" list pulls you back under.
On the business side: website updates, new automations, and a whole lot of connecting — locally and internationally. Meeting new people in places I've never been is quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of this work.
April has been a month of conversations and accountability. Every newsletter this month has included one short reminder and one action you can take immediately. If you missed any, they're all waiting for you.
A win worth celebrating — and talking about🏆
One of my startup clients, Carolina Cleaning Boys, just walked away from April pitch competitions with over $60,000 in winnings! That doesn't happen by accident. It happens when a founder gets clear on their message, aligned on their value, and confident enough to lead the room.
That's the work. And it works.
The conversation you keep putting off
You know the one.
It's not neutral. Every day you delay, it's costing you clarity, trust, and more time later — because the problem doesn't wait. It compounds.
When something feels "off," it doesn't fix itself.
Unclear expectations. Building frustration on both sides. Performance drift. And suddenly a 10-minute conversation becomes a much bigger problem.
Here's the fix — it's simpler than you think: 🔧
Every effective leadership conversation comes down to 3 moves:
Clarify → Align → Lead
• Clarify what’s actually happening (facts, not emotion)
• Align on what should be happening
• Lead the conversation to close the gap
Simple.
Not always easy.
But worth it.
A structure that works:
1. “I’ve been noticing…” — Start with what you’ve observed
2. “Here’s why this matters…” — Connect it to impact
3. “This is what needs to happen going forward…” — Set the expectation clearly
Clear. Direct. Respectful.
Leadership Tip of the Month 💡
Before reacting, ask yourself:
• What conversation am I avoiding right now?
• What decision am I delaying?
• Where am I over-explaining instead of holding accountable?
👉 A few minutes of clarity prevents weeks of frustration.
Quick Strategy 🎯
Coaching Question for Reflection:
“If I addressed this directly today… what would change?”
